This information of provided as a courtesy by the British Embassy. The Embassy is not organising this event. The United Kingdom Telecommunications Academy (UKTA) provides free training through leading communications companies and selected universities. Each year, member-companies in the UK allocate a number of places in their own in-house training which together comprise the UKTA training programme. Applicants can pick and choose courses to suit them. Training is free, but applicants must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. The 2002 training schedule is available on UKTA's website, www.ukta.co.uk. Some classes are a few days long, others a few weeks, still other are a 2 year master's programme. Some classes are available over the Internet.
