ZigBee와 NEMO (Network Mobility) 프로토콜은 현재 가장 활발하게 진행되고 있는 네트워킹 기술들 중에 하나이며, 서로 밀접한 연관성을 가지고 있기 때문에 유비쿼터스 혁명의 파급효과를 극대화 할 수 있는 이들 간의 연동에 대한 연구는 개별 기술만큼이나 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 센서 네트워크 관련 핵심요소 기술의 하나로 각 센서 노드들에게 인터넷 연결성의 지원과 동시에 네트워크 단위의 이동성을 제공하는 기술이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 이동성 기반의 ZigBee Mobile Router의 구조와 ZigBee 센서 노드들에게 네트워크 단위의 이동성을 지원하기 위한 동작을 제안한다. 또한, 헬스케어 시스템을 위한 ZigBee Mobile Router의 설계 및 구현을 통해 실제 테스트베드를 구축하고 시험해본다.

(English Abstract) |
ZigBee and Network Mobility (NEMO) protocols are the two most important technologies in current networking research and are vital for the future ubiquitous environment. In this paper, we propose NEMO (Network Mobility) based ZigBee Mobile Router architecture and operations to support the network mobility of ZigBee network. Also, we present the design and implementation of the ZigBee Mobile Router for healthcare system. The architecture is particularly useful to manage patient’s mobility where each patient is equipped with ZigBee sensor nodes.
