(Korean Abstract) |
이동 무선 네트워크는 기지국이나 AP(access point)와 같은 하부구조(infrastructure)를 가지는 네트워크와 하부구조가 없는 애드 혹 네트워크(Ad Hoc Network)로 나눌 수 있다. 애드 혹 네트워크는 고정된 하부 구조가 없는 것이 특징이기 때문에 이동 노드들끼리 데이터를 전달할 수 있어야 하는데， 이를 위해 각 이동노드들은 유선 망의 라우터 기능을 수행해야 한다. 이 두 네트워크의 약점을 보완하기 위해 802.11 기반 애드 혹에 대한 연구가 많이 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11 기반 다중 홉 애드 혹 망에서 비콘 간격에 따른 power saving프로토콜을 비교 분석하여 제안된 프로토콜의 효율성을 제시하고자한다.

(English Abstract) |
The mobile radio networks can be divided into networks that has the base station or the infrastructure like AP(Access Point) and Ad Hoc network that hasn’t any infrastructures. As there aren’t any fixed infrastructures in Ad Hoc Networks, mobile nodes should transmit the data only among mobile nodes themselves. To supplement these weakpoints of the two networks, many studies about Ad Hocs based on the 802.11 are in progress. In this thesis, we try to propose the efficiency of the suggested protocols by comparing and analyzing power saving protocols according to the Beacon intervals in multi hop Ad Hoc Networks based on IEEE 802.11
